Cryotherapy is a fast and healthy process that accelerates the body’s natural recovery while improving overall well-being and energizing the body. It is a completely dry, noninvasive, hyper-cooling process that lowers a person’s skin temperature to 30ºF during a session of up to 180 seconds.
At CryoSF we use the safest technology to deliver safest experience possible. Inside the TITAN CryoCabin™, the body is enveloped by hyper cold air pulsating at a temperature of -220ºF. With redundant safety features, a session can be terminated by the client, by the cryo-tech and even automatically. Should the client's head go below the top rim for just a few seconds, the ultrasonic sensor will trigger an immediate stop and open the cabin door automatically releasing all the vapor from within the cabin. For additional safety, protective gloves, socks, undergarments, and slippers are worn to protect sensitive areas.
We recommend no less than eight sessions during the first two weeks to allow the body to actively adjust and realize new habits. Thereafter an effective procedure would be 3 sessions a week. Come enjoy the experience and try a session for yourself.
We will provide you with comfy robe, pair of gloves, socks and slippers. Cryotherapy is a dry therapy, and it is essential that everything you are wearing while you are in the cryosauna is completely dry. Inside the cryosauna you will only be wearing socks, slippers and gloves; men also wear briefs, women cotton underwear. This allows for 90% of your skin to be exposed to the hyper cool air.
It is fine to leave your hair down and have on face lotion or makeup. We ask that you do not apply lotion or any moisture to your skin an hour before your session. No jewelry or metals can be worn below the neck.
The process is completely tolerable, yet the body interprets the extreme cold as a threat to its wellbeing. The temperature receptors in the skin send this information to the brain (hypothalamus area), which responds with an attempt to restore balance.
The therapy lasts only 3 minutes. The first step the body takes to protect its core temperature, is to redirect blood from superficial vessels and capillaries in the skin towards deeper structures. This causes blood to flow from the periphery towards the central core.
After exiting the Cryosauna, filtered blood flows back to the peripheral tissues. Now cleaner and enriched with oxygen, nutrients and enzymes – your blood warms and enriches skin and muscles, and range of motion increases.
It is recommended that light cardiovascular movement be performed for a period of up to 10 to 15 minutes to further promote re-warming within the muscles which creates a more favorable circulatory effect to bring fresh blood into the muscles and promote the flushing of stagnant blood within the muscle tissue which contributes to muscle swelling and inflammation.

I have been coming for treatments regularly over the past two weeks after suffering an accident where I broke multiple ribs. I had one prior experience with whole body cryotherapy in Manhattan and thought it could help with an acute injury. The changing rooms always have fresh robes, socks, and gloves. They will even make you a coffee or tea after you wind down after treatment. This a great place for cryotherapy and i highly recommend it!
I have had 3 major back surgeries and have nerve damage in my legs. I have been in chronic pain for over 10 years. Medications, massage, physical therapy, accupuncture, supplements..... Nothing has compared to what I have seen with 3 sessions of cryotherapy. I have been able to handle stairs more and sleep better at night because the pain is not waking me up. I'm excited to see what the 10 more sessions will do for me. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is in pain or just want to feel better. 3 min in freezing cold is well worth it! I highly recommend trying cryo. I did the unlimited sessions for a month including the facials and have definitely seen a difference. I lost some weight and my skin glows, but the most beneficial difference was the reduction in back pain from working on a computer all day. I sleep much better at night as well. An added bonus is that Afag and Aaron are delightful to talk to while you are counting down the seconds in the cryo tank!
